The Plan
Review Process
It's an easy
four step process from here to a complete, thorough and accurate
review of plans and specifications based on the applicable Code –
International, BOCA®, Uniform, Standard, or NFPA.
Send two complete sets of plans and specifications. Include a
letter stating which Code and which editions of the Code are to be
used in conducting the review. The jurisdiction must furnish a copy
of any amendments to the adopted code for review (or online sources
for amendments).
We perform a review encompassing the use or Occupancy group
classification, the minimum construction type, allowable area
limitations, special uses and occupancies, exiting and structural,
fire-resistance requirements, disability access, fire protection,
plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
A personalized code report specifying all code requirements
and sections is faxed or e-mailed immediately upon completion, and
then a hard copy is mailed to your office. The complete report
for your project is available within ten working days. This written
report enables your office to easily evaluate the
project.
After you receive the review, along with plans and
specifications, the applicant has the opportunity to respond to each
item and submit the plans and specifications for our second review
at no additional charge. Unlimited telephone consultation on the
project is also included, Fees include conferences with your
department or office and permit applicants to discuss and resolve
code review comments. The end result is guaranteed to meet your
standards.
